Sand perches for budgerigars are perches that are covered in fine sand or grit. They serve as a natural way for budgerigars to keep their beaks and nails trimmed. As the budgerigar sits and moves around on the sand perch, the rough texture of the sand helps to wear down their beaks and nails, preventing overgrowth and potential health issues. Sand perches also provide a different texture and stimulation for the bird's feet, promoting foot health and exercise. **
